54 Orgs Push to Know Cost of Gas Expansion July 06 2020
The Renewable Heat Now Campaign is filing a letter calling on the Public Service Commission to require utilities to accurately report the costs of ratepayer-funded subsidies of gas expansion under the State's 100-Foot Rule. This letter was signed by 54 organizations that endorse shining a light on the costs to ratepayers of gas expansion.
In a press release announcing the filing, Irene Weiser, the Coordinator of Fossil Free Tomkins, noted:
The 100-foot subsidy maximizes and reinforces infrastructure investments at a dangerous time to do so, both for ratepayers and for the stability of our climate. And the costs of that subsidy have been anything but transparent. Let's find out what it costs.
