No Decision Yet on NGRID Gas Plan June 15 2020, 0 Comments

In the wake of the NYDEC's rejection of National Grid's Williams pipeline proposal, a decision is pending on how the heating capacity needs of the company's downstate customers will be met. The Public Service Commission did not address National Grid's long-term capacity solution options in its June 11th monthly meeting, although a choice needs to be made in June.

NGRID has filed a report including several gas infrastructure investment options and one No-Infrastructure option. The No-Infrastructure option includes energy efficiency, demand response, and heat pump installations. Renewable Heat Now is one of several organizations organizing support for the No-Infrastructure option.
