An IGSHPA Accredited Installer (AI) certification is required to participate in the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) geothermal residential and commercial incentive and rebate programs. This is a local opportunity to earn the AI listing. Class is limited to twenty Geo professionals. While aimed at HVAC and drilling contractors, engineers can receive 18 hours of classroom continuing education units.  This program is partially under-written by NYSERDA who will rebate 50% of tuition and travel costs to NY workers who complete the NATE test.                  You can earn:

The Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center (RESC) at Farmingdale State College, in collaboration with PSEG Long Island and NY-GEO, is pleased to offer its first IGSHPA Certified Geothermal Inspector and Accredited Installer workshops.

This two-day comprehensive Inspector Workshop is designed for Code Enforcing Inspectors for city, and state governments.

The Inspector's course would benefit installers, developers, architects, manufacturers, distributors, dealers, HVAC contractors, trenching/drilling contractors, and anyone who desires a working knowledge of how to inspect this innovative technology.

Representatives from public utilities, private utilities, and rural electric cooperatives can also benefit from training. Information gathered from the workshop can help utility representatives serve as a source of information regarding money-saving concepts.
